New World Ronin

Why?

You raised me with high standards. School indoctrinated me with high standards. I have done my best to achieve everything you have expected of me. I have followed your rules and done as instructed. I AM what you wanted me to be. So why am I the outsider? I think you’ve been feeding me bullshit my whole life and you never truly expected me to eat it. You expected me to dissent like everyone else. I trusted you all. I am a fool. I have always been a fool. My intelligence does me no good if it only brings scorn from everyone else. My high standards are pointless if everyone accepts “half-ass.” Why did you create me if not to delight in my torment? What is it you want from me? Why am I me?

Yay! Tomorrow evening!

Yay! Tomorrow evening!

We have to consciously study how to be tender with each other until it becomes a habit because what was native has been stolen from us… we can practice being gentle with ourselves by being gentle with each other. We can practice being gentle with each other by being gentle with that part of ourselves that is hardest to hold, by giving more to the brave bruised girlchild within each of us.

I think this sudden influx of “stupid” we’re seeing over the past few decades is the direct result of our quintessentially-American inability to admit failure. The “leave no child behind” attitude that’s been passing horribly educated people into the workforce of the nation. We did this. Now it’s time to clean things up.

Yeah, feeling that.

Haha! The cat never will leave, either.

Advertising hurts.

A person who lives moment to moment, who goes on dying to the past, is never attached to anything. Attachment comes from the accumulated past. If you can be unattached to the past every moment, then you are always fresh, young, just born. You pulsate with life and that pulsation gives you immortality. You are immortal, only unaware of the fact.
